Skeletal remains of missing Wright City couple identified after discovery in Pine Creek Lake vehicle

Skeletal remains recovered last month from a vehicle pulled from Pine Creek Lake in McCurtain County have been identified as those of a local couple missing for more than four years.
The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed on November 5, 2026, that the remains belong to Timothy Woodman, 65, and Terry Woodman, 64, of Wright City. They were reported missing to the Wright City Police Department in September 2022.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance after human remains were found inside a vehicle that the Oklahoma Highway Patrol recovered from Pine Creek Lake on October 15, 2026. The lake lies roughly 10 miles northwest of Wright City.
Earlier records from the missing-person case indicated Terry Woodman was last seen around September 20, 2022. She had told relatives she planned to visit family in California (without specifying a date), and neighbors reported seeing her leave.
She was observed that day with relative Timothy Woodman in a white 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivan (license plate CH67126). At the time of her disappearance she was described as white, about 4’11”, 115 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.
The medical examiner’s office is still determining the cause and manner of the Woodmans’ deaths. The investigation into their disappearance remains open.
