A report rendered five days after the accident so police officials could notify next to kin of the deceased lists details OF an accident that happened last week inside the city limits of Siloam Springs that took the life of a 75-year-old resident of that city.
According to a report filed with the Arkansas State Police by the Siloam Springs Police Department, 75-year-old David Lee Norrell of Siloam Springs was driving a 2013 Land Rover Discovery eastbound on US Highway 412 inside the Siloam Springs city limits when he attempted to make a left turn at the intersection of East Kenwood on a flashing yellow left arrow light.
According to that report, a 2019 international sleepover cab was westbound on US Highway 412 in the outside Lane and struck the Land Rover as it's made the left turn.
A passenger in the Norrell vehicle, 52-year-old Jose Ruben Serna of Bentonville, was injured in the crash and taken to Washington Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Corporal NathanVan Paepeghem of the Siloam Springs Police Department worked the accident and listed the weather conditions is clear and the roadway as dry.
Although the accident occurred last week it was listed as the 14th fatality of the year by the Arkansas State Police because of delayed status of the report.
