Siloam Springs man arrested for second time in just over two months for registration violation

A Benton County sex offender man who we first told you about in March of this year for being arrested for failing to register as a sex offender was back in jail on Tuesday for the same offense, according to booking information from the Benton County Sheriff Office.

Kyle Joseph Reyes, 22, of Siloam Springs, was released from jail on Thursday after his arrest earlier in the week.

He was originally arrested in 2019 and charged with one count of Sexual Indecency with a Child. Hewas arrested in 2017 when, at the age of 18, he was booked on charges of sexual indecency with a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Police say Reyes provided marijuana to a 14-year-old girl and had sex with her in a Siloam Springs motel room.

As part of his negotiated plea deal on August 22 2019 in that case, Reyes received a six year suspended sentence and was required to register as a sex offender.

Information from his March warrant said he failed to comply with the conditions of that agreement when he was arrested in mid-March of this year. That case remains open on the court docket and the new arrest is for a violation that occurred in the interim.
