Sexual indecency with a child charge results in short SCDC stay

A Fort Smith male resident was arrested and released on bond after being incarcerated briefly Tuesday night into Wednesday morning on a charge of Sexual Indecency with a Child Under the Age of 15.

Raul Osorio-Chavez was booked into the Sebastian County Detention Center at 8:35 pm. by the Sebastian County Sheriff Office after the state felony arrest. He bailed out at 2:13 am Wednesday morning on a $10,000 legally sufficient bond.

Sexual indecency with a child is a Class D felony in the state of Arkansas. Class D felonies are the least serious felonies in Arkansas, punishable by up to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
