Sequoyah County sex-offender charged with Trafficking Schedule I/II Controlled Substances


A 47-year-old registered sex offender from Oklahoma was arrested on Tuesday by the Fort Smith Police Department with a substantial quality of illegal drugs in his possession.


According to a press release from the FSPD, 47-year-old Xavier Francis Haynes Sr. of Marble City remains jailed in the Sebastian County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond. He was booked into the SCADC at 2:59 p.m. on Tuesday as a parole hold with charges.


According to the booking information he was charged with Trafficking Schedule I/II Controlled Substances which also triggered a parole violation. Police say Haynes had 5.1 pounds of methamphetamine, 1.1 oz of cocaine, and various THC products in his possession when arrested.

On Thursday he made an appearance in Sebastan County Circuit Court and the case.


Haynes has a long and varied criminal record on both sides of the Arkansas / Oklahoma state line. He was arrested on two conspiracy charges in 2011 and entered a guilty plea as part of a plea deal in that case. There was also a probation revelation in November of that year.


Haynes also had an arrest for conspiracy in 1999 as well as a plea deal on a third degree assault on a family or household member. There have also been arrestd for unlawful delivery of goods, possession of controlled substance, robbery in Oklahoma as well as other charges.

He also had several charges in Oklahoma for cruelty to animals in 2008.

According to information from the Sequoyah County sex offender list, Haynes was charged with second degree rape in Fort smith which led to him being placed on the sex offender registry in that county.
