Sebatian County couple arrested on various drug charges Monday by Barling PD and Arkansas State Police

A married couple was booked into the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center in Fort Smith on July 27, 2026, on multiple felony drug charges stemming from investigations by Barling Police Department and Arkansas State Police Troop H.
Ashley Smith, 43, of Huntington, was booked at 2:51 p.m. on July 27. She faces charges of trafficking a Schedule I or II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with the purpose to deliver more than 28 grams, possession of a Schedule III controlled substance with the purpose to deliver more than 28 grams, maintaining a premises for drug activity within 1,000 feet of a drug free zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia as a felony.

Heath Bradley Smith, 43, of Fort Smith, was booked at 2:44 p.m. the same day. He faces the same drug related charges as Ashley Smith, along with a parole violation. His total bond is listed at $200,750 with an additional no-bond hold on the parole violation. He is also scheduled to appear in Fort Smith Circuit Court on July 29.
Both are classified as medium security and remain in custody at the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center.
