A twenty-one-year-old Springdale man died as the result of a scooter accident on East Brown Road in Springdale on Tuesday, according to the Springdale Police Department and Arkansas Department of Public Safety,
Officials say Christopher Uliss Messer died in the accident just after 9 pm Monday night. Messer was piloting a 48cc scooter with no headlights westbound n East Bound Road when he crossed over the dark street and was thrown from the unit. He impacted a steel culvert after flying a short distance in the air.
Messer was taken to Northwest Medical Center Springdale where he passed due to the extensive injuries.
The responding officer noted clear weather conditions and dry roadways at the time of the accident.
