Saturday wreck in south Sebastian County claims one unidentified victim




According to law enforcement officials n Sebastian County, the driver in a fiery single vehicle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon near Huntington was killed and burned beyond recognition as the result of the crash.


According to information from the Sebastian County Sheriff Office, the incident occurred when a 201 Chevrolet ran off the roadway in the 2800 block of Bottom Fork Road within the Huntington city limits. The car ran off the road on the south side of the road and the driver over-corrected back across the roadway.


The Chevy ran off the opposite side of the road, went into the ditch then struck a tree before becoming engulfed in flames.


According to Deputy Daniel Bazar of the SCSO, the weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.


The wreck was the 91st fatal accident of the year, resulting n the 102nd death on Arkansas roads and highways.
