The Arkansas State Polic released an accident report on Monday detailing a Washington County crash that took the life of a Centerton man and sent a White Hall resident to the hospital on Saturday.

According to the ASP preliminary report, 24-year-old Trent Allred of Centerton was a passenger in a 2013 Lexus LS460 that was westbound on Old Farmington Road at a high rate of speed in a 25-mile-per-hour zone. The vehicle ran a stop sign at South Futrall Drive and hit a drainage waterway that paralleled South Futrall Drive and I49 before striking an earthen embankment.

Allred was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver, 24-year-old Stephen Whiteside of White Hall, was transported to Washington County Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.

According to responding officer Paul Koscheski of the Fayetteville Police Department neither of the men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, which occurred at 2:33 p.m.

Koscheski also noted clear weather and dry road conditions at the time of the crash.
