Saturday night ATV wreck in rural Johnson County results in a pair of fatalities



According to inf9ormartion released by the Arkansas State Police on Sunday morning, a 69-year-old Hartman man and a minor occupant of the ATV he was driving were killed Saturday night in an accident along a rural stretch of road in Johnson County.


A report filed by the ASP says Jackson Fox was piloting a 2002 Honda Tracker with his occupant eastbound on County Road 3151 near the intersection with State Highway 352 9:54 p.m. in the Hunt Community when the ATV ran off of the roadway on the west side of Horsehead Creek. The vehicle then went over an embankment and dropped approximately 25 feet into the waterway below.


Fox and the minor were both pronounced dead at the scene.


The deaths pushed the statewide accident fatality total to 363 on the year.
