A fatal vehicle accident occurred on Saturday, resulting in the death of 65-year-old Kathy Mohan. According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the incident took place on Arkansas Highway 8 near the Oklahoma border.

Mohan was driving eastbound when her GMC Sierra veered off the right side of the road as she approached a right turn. In an attempt to steer the vehicle back onto the roadway, the truck began to rotate counter-clockwise.

The vehicle reentered the highway, crossed both lanes of traffic, and then exited the road on the opposite side.

The truck rolled towards an embankment, causing Mohan to be ejected from the vehicle. The GMC Sierra came to a stop on its driver’s side, tragically landing on top of Mohan.

ASP trooper Tate Ledbetter noted that weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident. The investigation into the exact cause of the crash is ongoing.
