Salem Harley rider killed in solo vehicle accident Saturday in Pea Ridge

A motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 56-year-old man on Saturday afternoon in Pea Ridgeat approximately 2:00 p.m. The incident occurred on Hayden Road (State Highway 265) near Gates Lane in Pea Ridge.


According to the Pea Ridge Police Department the victim, identified as Juan Joseberro Teran Magdaleno of Salem, was riding a 2004 Harley-Davidson southbound when the motorcycle veered off the roadway to the right.


The bike traveled down the shoulder and struck a culvert, ejecting the rider approximately 30 feet. Magdaleno was pronounced deceased at the scene.


Sgt. Todd Cornwell of the Pea Ridge Police Department is leading the investigation. The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.


The victim’s body was transported to the Mercy Hospital Morgue, and next of kin have been notified.


No other vehicles or injuries were reported in connection with the accident. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
