The Arkansas State Police says a Pope County woman died Saturday as the result of a two vehicle collision that occurred on 530 North in Pulaski County near the five-mile marker.
The ASP preliminary report states that Tracy Henson, 46, of Russellville was killed at just after 2 am Saturday morning when the 2012 Hyundai Accent she was driving was headed south in the northbound lane and ran head-on into a 2000 Mercedes driven by 24-year-old Jessica Smith of El Dorado.
Henson was pronounced dead at thee scene while smith and a passenger in her car, 27-year-old Lasmine Flowers, were both transported to the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock for treatment of their undisclosed injuries.
Trooper Kendrick Davis noted the weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the accident.
