Russellville sex offender arrested and released on $10,000 bond after failing to register
A Pope County man who was sentenced to 72-months probation in September 2020 for the internet stalking of a child was arrested by the Russellville Police Department on Tuesday and charged with a Sex Offender Registration violation according to booking information from the Pope County Detention Center.
Thirty-eight year-old Johnathan Leonard Holbrook-Knecht of Russellville was adjudicated guilty of the Class B Felony for a June, 2019 arrest for the offense involving a victim less than the age of fifteen. He took the plea deal in Pope County Circuit Court on September 22, 2020 in order to avoid jail time on the charge.
As part of that plea agreement, Holbrook-Knecht was ordered to register with the state of Arkansas and Pope County as a sex 0offender. He is not listed on either the county or the state registry as of this date.
Holbrook-Knecht was released from the PCDC less than an hour ago on a $10,000 bond.
