Russellville man facing ten counts involving child pornography takes plea for 48-months



A 21-year-old Russellville man was sentenced to 48-months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections on Tuesday after pleading guilty to ten counts of Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing Matters Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a child.
According to court records, a warrant for the multiple counts of child pornography was issued on November 18, 2021 and Tackett was arrested and releaed on released on a $7000 bond on December 24, 2021.
After months of a see-saw legal battle, Tackett entered his guilty plea to the charges on Tuesday and was given four years on every count with various number of months suspended.
According to information from Court Connect, Tackett was denied contact with minors under the ag of eighteen while out n bond. The only exception was while he was on duty at a local grocery store.
Police said Tackett downloaded the pornographic images onto his cell phone.
