A motorcycle crash on Arkansas State Highway 359 near the conjunction with County Road 2730 took the life of a 30-year-old Johnson County man on Sunday.
The Arkansas State Police says a collision between a westbound 2004 Honda XZFR6 driven by Derek James Fitts on Highway 359 and a 1999 Ford F-250 towing a boat and trailer at just after 1:30 p.m. resulted in 339th Arkansas highway death for the year.
Police say the Ford was making left turn, and traveling east on Highway 359 in the eastbound lane. The boat and trailer was still partially in the opposite lane when it was struck by the Yamaha.
Trooper Lonnie Moore worked the crash sited and stated the the weather was clear and the roadway was dry when the accident occurred.
