Rider killed when he fails to negotiate turn on rural stretch of State Highway 295 in Madison County


The Arkansas State Police is reporting a fatal mototcycle accident that occurred Friday afternoon near the Madison County community of Wesley that took the life of a 40-year-old Huntsville man.

According to information release this morning by the Arkansas Department of Public safety and the Arkansas state police, Jason Allred of Huntsville was riding a 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on State Highway 295 enroll Madison County Friday afternoon. While attempting to negotiate a right hand curve the motorcycle overturned onto its right side and slid off the left side of the roadway.

The motorcycle impacted a guard rail and came to rest. Police say Allred was thrown from the motorcycle.


Trooper Jackson R. Little of the Arkansas State Police worked the accident and noted cloudy weather conditions and a dry pavement at the time of the crash.

The death of Allred was the 421st of the year on Arkansas roads and highways.
