Pope County Sheriff Shane Jones has released the name of the victim in the homicide, which took place Wednesday, September 15th.
Charla Dawn Johnson, age 55, was found deceased by Pope County Deputies at a residence in the 500 block of Sand Springs Road.
Suspect Stephen Ray Wood was taken into custody on the morning of September 16 and remains behind bars at the Pope County Detention Center.
