The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Polk County died in a crash one mile west of Watson in McCurtain on Thursday afternoon.
A report from the OHP says that Freddy Wilkinson, 41, of Cove crossed the center line at a curve and ran into an oncoming pickup truck. According to officers on the scene the accident occurred on State Highway 4 and Silverside Road in a rural area of the county.
According to troopers, Wilkinson was not wearing a helmet, and he was taken to McCurtain Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured.
