


A man and woman from Oklahoma were killed in a head-on collision Friday on State Highway 88 in Mena according to the Arkansas State Police.
According to an ASP preliminary report posted on Saturday, 60-year-old Jeffery Lee Miller of McAlester was driving a 2011 Jeed eastbound on State Highway 88 when he crossed over the yellow line and crashed into an `998 International Harvester driven by 52-year-old John E, Blosser of Hot Springs Village..
Miller and a passenger in his vehicle, 48-year-old Sharon Carol Montgomery, also of Hot Springs Village, were pronounced dead at the scene. Blosser and his wife, Marcia Dane Blosser, were both treated for injuries related to the accident, which occurred inside the Mena city Limits.
According to the ASP report, weather conditions were cloudy and the pavement was dry at the time of the crash. The deaths of the pair pushed Arkansas roadway fatalities to seventy-two total for 2022.
