Police say body found Saturday at bottom of residential pool in Pea Ridge was accidental drowning

The discovery of a body in a swimming pool in the backyard of a home in Pea Ridge prompted a police investigation on Saturday. 


According to information released by he Pea Ridge Police Department, the Pea Ridge Fire Department responded to a report of a body in a swimming pool in a 1200 block of Nemeth Circle Saturday afternoon around 4:15 p.m. 


Responders located the body of 20-year-old Timothy Hillhouse III at the bottom of the deep end of the pool. Hillhouse was pronounced dead at the scene by officials.


Following a thorough investigation by the Pea Ridge Police Department in collaboration with the Benton County coroner the determination was made that the death was caused by an accidental drowning.
