

A high-speed chase involving law enforcement officials in a 20-year-old Bella Vista man resulted in a fatal accident on Saturday that took the life of a visitor to northwest Arkansas from San Leandro, California.
According to information released by the Arkansas State Police the accident occurred at 2:39 p.m. Saturday on North Rupple Road north of West Wells Drive inside the city of Fayetteville.
Police say Noah Cargill, 20, of Bella Vista was driving a 2018 charger southbound on Rupple Road when a traffic stop was initiated by the Arkansas State police. Cargill continued to flee the officers northbound on North Russell Road and changed lanes in at attempt to pass a vehicle. He lost control and cross the center line entering the northbound lanes.
The front end of the Cargill vehicle then struck a 2010 Toyota Prius that was northbound resulting in the death of California resident David Pemberton/
Pemberton was pronounced dead on the scene by the Washington County Coroner's office and Cargill was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where he was treated for unknown injuries.
The delay in posting the report came as the Arkansas State Police had to notify next to Ken before releasing details of the accident.
A source in Washington County said what's Cargill is released from the hospital he will be charged with a number of violations, including those involving the death of pemberton.
Sergeant Paul Koscheski of the Fayetteville Police Department worked the accident and noted clear weather conditions and a dry roadway at the time of the accident which resulted in the ninth fatality of the year in the state on roads and highways.
