Plea deal results in conviction and six -year term on one of three felony charges for ADC inmate

A 37-year -old former Bonanza resident was sentenced to eight years in the Arkansas Department of corrections on Wednesday after avoiding prosecution on two of the three charges he was facing.

Patrick Neal Griffin, who was listed as a "return to testify" inmate on Wednesday, is now an ADC commitment hold and on his way back to prison. It appears that the eight -year sentence was for residential burglary in the Crcuit Court case.

Griffin was facing three felony counts including the residential burglary charge, theft of property over $5,000, and possession of firearms by a certain person.

In addition to the eight -year sentence, Griffin was given 12 years suspended. He also has to make full restitution to his victims according to the court documents.

According to information from Court connect, Griffin is serving a 20-year sentence in the ADC for being a felon in possession of firearms. He received that sentence after a plea deal on October 14th 2020.

His imposed time from Sebastian County will run concurrent with sentences he's currently serving out of Crawford County.
