Plea deal on revocation of parole lands Fort Smith woman a new jail address



A 24-year-old Fort Smith woman who has been incarcerated in the Sebastian County Adult Detention Center since January of this year is due for an address change as she is now waiting transfer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections on drug court sanctions that resulted in a felony petition to revoke.


Sophia Elisabeth Elliott, who's most recent address listed with the system was in the 1400 block of South 16th in Fort Smith, took a plea deal in court proceedings in Sebastian County Circuit Court on Possession of Methamphetamine with the Purpose of Delivery and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charges and on a felony petition to revoke. earning a six-year imposed sentence with an additional 14-year suspended on each charge.

Elliot was suspended from drug court after failing to pay fines in March of this year. That triggered the petition to revoke for a failure to appear on a Class C Felony to Appear charge and from other contempt/willful disobedience charges from 2022.

The sentence that was handed down last Friday in Circuit Court was set to run concurrently with existing terms handed down previously. She was giving jail time credit and was required to provided s DNA sample to the courts.
