Plea deal on drug and paraphernalia charges adds three concurrent years to felons prison stretch

A F0rt Smith man with multiple felony convictions in both Crawford and Sebastian counties over the past seven years had three years real time added to his existing 24- month sentence out of Crawford County after being transferred to Sebastian County for a circuit court plea deal appearance on Wednesday.


Jerry D. Beane, who has been sentenced to two different ten year sentences since 2014, has been in the Crawford County Detention Center on hold for transfer to the Arkansas Department of Corrections after a revocation for a 2016 Theft of Property conviction.


Beane, has convictions in the pass for Possession of Controlled Substances and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and has drawn either probation or suspended impositions of sentences on at least three occasions for drug related crimes.


On Wednesday, his guilty -plea on one controlled substance and two paraphernalia charges drew him three years on each charge to be served concurrently with his existing sentences.
