A Friday plea deal in Sebastian County Circuit Court which saw two of three felony cases dropped sent a Fort Smith man to prison with a four year sentence after a guilty pronouncement on a Theft by Receiving Debit/Credit Card charge.

Kevin Blake Howington, 30, entered the guilty plea to the theft charges after prosecutors dropped Possession of Methamphetamine and a Drug Paraphernalia count but pursued a Habitual Offender enhancement during sentencing. Howington received a four year imposed penalty with eleven years suspended.

According to booking records with the Sebastian County Detention Center, Howington was arrested back on March 10 on one Theft by Receiving count and on theft and possession violations back on January 7 of this year.
