A 34-year-old Hot Springs woman who was struck by a vehicle in Charleston on Tuesday died in an area hospital on Wednesday from the injuries she sustained, according to information obtained from the Arkansas State Police.
Police say Kristin Lee, described by witnesses as "a jogger", was eastbound on the westbound fog line of State H9oghway 22 near the intersection with Robinson Road when she veered into the path of a westbound Ford F-250 truck. Lee was struck by the passenger side mirror and door of the truck, according to the ASDP report.
Lee was transported to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith where she dies from her injuries on Wednesday.
Trooper Tyler Porter worked the accident and noted cloudy weather and dry roadway conditions at the time of the incident.
