Pedestrian killed on US Highway 412 in rural Madison County

A fifty year-old man was killed Friday in a vehicle-pedestrian accident in rural Madison County.

Police say Jeffery Dickey, address unknown, was walking west on US Highway 412 in the eastbound lane when he was struck by then front of an eastbound 2012 BMW.

Corporal Drew Widner investigated the accident for the Arkansas State Police and noteed conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the impact.

Dickey's death marks the 516th fatal Arkansas roadway accident of the year.
