An unknown male pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on Us Highway 71 B in Springdale on Wednesday.
According to an Arkansas State Police preliminary accident report, the "John Doe" was standing in the intersection of US Highway 71B and Southfield Road when he was struck and killed by a southbound 2004 Honda at just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
The body of the deceased individual was being sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, according to the report.
Springdale police officer Patrick Olcott said the weather was clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the accident.
