Pedestrian accident on I49 Saturday night proves fatal to 29-year-old Houston man

The Arkansas State Police says a Houston man died just before 10 p.m. Saturday after he was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross Interstate 49 near Exit 85 in Bentonville.
According to a preliminary report filed by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, Jose Efrain, 29, of Houston, Texas died when he was struck by a southbound 2012 Honda Pilot.
Efrain was attempting to run across the busy interstate from west to east when the incident occurred.
According to responding trooper Zenda Staab weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the impact.
