The Madison County Sheriff’s Office along with Arkansas Probation and Parole and the Huntsville Police Department conducted a search of a parolee / sex offender's residence on Thursday resulting in the arrest of a 52-year-old county resident
Booking information from Madison County indicates Clint Eugene Phillips of Huntsville was arrested after MCSO seized approximately 300 grams of methamphetamine along with scales, pipes, syringes, and other paraphernalia.
Phillips was originally charged with trafficking a controlled substance (methamphetamine), distribution near a certain facility, theft of property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Phillips was transferred to the Washington County detention Center where he is being held on the Madison County charges.
Phillips has a stunning array of felony arrests and convictions dating back to 2002 including drug charges, domestic battery, aggravated assault on family members, and various other violations.
He is also a registered sex offender who was arrested for sexual assault in the second degree in Madison County in 2002. He has been arrested at least twice since then for failing to register as a sex offender.
