Paris woman killed after being hit by pick-up truck Wednesday on State Highway 22

The Arkansas State Police confirmed on Thursday an 84-year-old Logan County woman who was struck by a pickup truck Wednesday just before noon on State Highway 22 has died from her injuries. 


According to a preliminary report filed by the Arkansas State Police on the Arkansas Department of Public Safety website, Mary Ann Frederick, 84, of Paris was attempting to cross State Highway 22 from north to south in the 6200 block when she was struck by an eastbound 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. 


The report indicates Frederick walked into the east traffic lane and was struck by the truck. The accident occurred about halfway between the intersections of Shaver Road and


She was originally transported to Mercy Hospital - Paris but later succumbed to her injuries. 


Corporal Billy E. Turnipseed with the Arkansas State Police worked the accident and said conditions were cloudy but the road was dry at the time of the incident.
