A 61 year-old Harrison man was arrested on Wednesday and released within one hour after posting a $15,000 bond after officials say he was charged with fifty-two separate counts of Distributing, Possessing or Viewing Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving a Child.

Robert Dale Purdy, who lives in the 5500 block of Forgeson Road in Harrison, was also booked under Habitual Offender status for the excess number of counts involved in the collection of the illegal images.

He was booked into the Boone County-jail at 5:17 pm and released on bail exactly one hour later according to booking information from the detention center.

According to a court affidavit, a Special Agent with the Arkansas State Police assigned to the Criminal lnvestigation Division obtained a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and secured a warrant to do a cyber search on January 14 and was able to view the images in question through the Google Law Enforcement Request System the same day.

The investigator determined two of the pictures were real images of prepubescent females and 3O3 images were of computer generated child explicit images.

The investigator said there was also a video that had what appeared to be the head of Purdy computer generated onto the body of the adult having sex with a juvenile.

The investigator then discovered the Forgeson Road physical location in Harrison after tracing an I.P. address.

During the execution of the physical search warrant, officers confiscated a computer, a tablet and a cell phone from which ninety-five sexually explicit images depicting children.

Each one of the infractions is a separate Class C Felony and punishable by three to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000

Officials say the images were gathered between 2018 and March of 2021.
