One dead, two injured after Sunday two-car crash on US 65 Bypass in Harrison

A Harrison man is dead and two other suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision that occurred over the weekend in Boone County, according to information from the Arkansas State Police.


Law enforcement officials say 53-year-old Dave Redmon was the driver of a 2000 Hyundai Elantra that was northbound at a high rate of speed on the Highway 65 bypass in Harrison on Sunday when he struck a curb and lost control. That caused Redmon to lose control and the Elantra went into a skid before rotating 180 degrees int0o oncoming traffic.


Twenty-three year-old Madison Jansen of Mountain Home was in the wrong place at the wrong time and the Elantra slammed into the front bumper of a 2020Jeep Gladiator she was driving in the opposite direction, The passenger side of the Redmon vehicle impacted the front of the Jeep, totaling both vehicles.


Demon was pr0onounced dead at the scene while Jansen and her passenger, 25-year-old Michael Sadrerafi, also of Mountain Home, were transported to a local medical facility for treatment for their injuries.


Harrison Police Department officer Michael Hill worked the accident and said condItions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
