On Sunday, Aug. 28, at approximately 7:21 PM, Fort Smith Police responded to a domestic-related shooting call in the 1200 block of North 52ndo Street.
Upon arrival, it was determined that two people exchanged gunfire. As a result of the gunfire, one individual is deceased and another was transported to a local hospital for treatment related to a gunshot wound (condition unknown at this time).
The investigation is underway, and more information will be released when available and appropriate.
No arrests have been made at this time, but all involved parties have been accounted for.
