The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) has announced that the OSGE Coliseum at the Oklahoma State Fair and the Lloyd Noble Center at the University of Oklahoma will serve as the main sites for the OSSAA State Basketball Tournaments through 2030.
The OSGE Coliseum will also host the state wrestling tournaments.
The OSSAA State Wrestling Tournaments will feature all quarterfinal and championship games at the OSGE Coliseum. Classes A-BI-BII will play on a rotating 5-year schedule, alternating between the Coliseum and Lloyd Noble Center for their quarterfinals.
This will allow each class in 6A-2A to play in the Coliseum three times and Lloyd Noble Center twice over the 5-year period. All state championship games will be held inside the brand-new OSGE Coliseum
.David Jackson, executive director of the OSSAA, said, "We sent RFPs to multiple facilities around the state and we could not be more excited to end up with two great sites to showcase our member schools and student-athletes."
The Oklahoma State Fair has a storied history with the OSSAA, particularly in the Jim Norick Arena, commented Kirk Slaughter, Oklahoma State Fair, Inc. President & CEO.
"In a tradition that was born over a century ago, we are excited to continue that legacy and to play host to all basketball class finals in the new OSGE Coliseum. This is a great fit for both basketball and wrestling and the fan experience will be off the charts."
OSSAA Assistant Director for Class 4A-6A Basketball Brian Lester added, "For the last 60 years, the home to high school basketball in Oklahoma was the Big House. We hope to continue that tradition at the OSGE Coliseum and continue to make new memories for high school basketball players and fans."
He noted that the venue is thrilled for member schools and student-athletes to have a chance to play on the same court where Division One college athletes compete in Norman and in a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Oklahoma City.
OSSAA Assistant Director for Wrestling Wes Ruth stated, "Wrestling fans are going to love the opportunity to watch the best high school wrestlers in Oklahoma compete at OSGE Coliseum for state championships for the next 5 years.
"The Boys and Girls Wrestling State Tournaments are scheduled for February 26-28, 2026. Basketball State Tournaments will be held March 5-7, 2026 for Classes 4A-6A and March 11-14, 2026 for Classes A-5A.
