Oklahoma man sentenced to 20 years in ADOC out of Crawford County for felony trafficking of fentanyl

A Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony charge of possession of fentanyl with intent to deliver and was sentenced to 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction as a habitual offender.

Colby Montana Couch, 33, entered the plea on April 29, 2026, in Crawford County Circuit Court before Judge Marc R. McCune. As part of the agreement, prosecutors dropped a separate charge of trafficking fentanyl, a Class U felony.

Couch was originally charged in June 2025 after authorities alleged he was involved in the delivery of fentanyl in the River Valley region. He was arrested by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office on April 29, 2026, in connection with the case.

According to court records, Couch initially faced charges of trafficking fentanyl and possession of drug paraphernalia with a prior conviction. Following his plea, he received 20 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction plus an additional 20 years suspended imposition of sentence.

His driver’s license was suspended for six months, and fines and costs were satisfied by time served in jail.

He also agreed to a warrantless search waiver as a condition of his suspended sentence.

The case progressed through several hearings, including a bond reduction to $50,000, which Couch posted in December 2025. His jury trial, originally set for February 2026, was continued multiple times before the plea agreement resolved the matter.
