Oklahoma man sentenced last week for Sebastian County drug charges


A Sallisaw drug dealer is behind bars in the Sebastian County Detention Center on a hold for the Arkansas Deprtment of Corrections after he served up a guilty plea in court proceedings last week in Fort Smith.


Kenneth Ray Goad III, 25, faced a number of drug felony counts in the case and picked up some additonal years as a habitual offender. He had two Class B and two Class D felonies on drug related charges from August of last year and also picked up two more D felonies for Possession with Intent to Deliver and Possession of Paraphernalia in October.


In all, Goad picked up nine year sentences on each of the D felonies and six years on each B designation withn 14 years suspended on each count. He also picked up sentences totaling thirteen months for various misdemeanors.


Sentences, including the time for being a habitual offender, were set to run concurrently. and he was given one year credit for time served.
