Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials say missing Atoka County boy found dead
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials, a 9-year-old boy who went missing over the weekend has been found dead.
"We are very sad to say that Triston Weeden has been located but he was not found alive," Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials posted on social media Monday morning. "Our deepest condolences go to his family. And we thank everyone that helped in the search."
The search for Weeden began over the weekend after the Sheriff's Office said the 9-year-old boy was last seen Saturday evening in the Wardville area.
Authorities have not provided any other information at this time.
