Jorge A. Niebla-Lopez, a convicted drug trafficker who escaped from an Oklahoma correctional facility in 2008, continues to be listed among the state's most wanted fugitives by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (DOC).

As of June 2026, there are no confirmed reports of his capture or arrest in Oklahoma or other jurisdictions based on available public sources.

According to the Oklahoma DOC Most Wanted poster, Niebla-Lopez is a Hispanic male born February 8, 1987. He is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 178 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has noted body marks including skin discolorations on the abdomen and a birthmark. No aliases are prominently listed beyond variations of his name.

Niebla-Lopez was convicted of Trafficking in Illegal Drugs in Oklahoma District Court.H e was serving his sentence at the James Crabtree Correctional Center, a medium-security facility in Helena, Oklahoma, when he escaped on April 25, 2008. At the time of his escape, he was 21 years old.

Public records and contemporary news reports from 2015 indicate that Niebla-Lopez was one of a small number of escapees from higher-security facilities still at large, as opposed to the majority of DOC fugitives who walked away from lower-security work-release or monitoring programs.

As of the latest available information, he has evaded capture for over 18 years.

Authorities caution that individuals on the run for serious drug offenses may pose risks if encountered.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections continues to list Niebla-Lopez as a fugitive. The agency urges anyone with information on his whereabouts not to approach him and to contact authorities immediately. Tips can be directed to the Oklahoma DOC or local law enforcement.
