OKC to host Developmental Disabilities Day on Oklahoma Capitol grounds this Thursday


The public is invited to this year’s Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day Thursday, March 23 at the Oklahoma State Capitol (2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105)! The theme for this year is Disability Counts and it will take place 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the south steps of the capitol.
The agenda for March 23:
9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.: Invited persons to speak to the group on the South Steps. Invited persons include: self-advocates, parents, professionals/providers, and legislators. 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Persons in attendance are encouraged to speak with their state legislators.
