OHP reports three deaths resuting from one-vehicle accident in rural Leflore County last week

Information obtained on Saturday from the Oklahoma Highway patrol reveals three people, including two children, were killed in a single-vehicle crash in a remote part of Leflore County on Wednesday night. 


According to the crash report a total of four people were in a SUV traveling on US Highway 271 near cutoff Road about three miles north of Talihina. 


The OHP report says 28-year-old Courtney Upton, a 3-year-old child, and a 9-month-old child were all killed in the crash. The other occupant of the vehicle was flown to a hospital in Tulsa. 


According to the report no seat belts were in use at the time of the accident and the incident is still under investigation.
