OHP, Delaware County officials located body of man missing in Mountain Fork River since April 1

Officials in McCurtain County say an Oklahoma man’s body was recovered from a McCurtain County river after his vehicle was swept off the road last week.

Authorities say 29-year-old Ronnie Toon attempted to cross a flooded bridge on April 1 when his 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck was swept off the bridge. Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were called to the Mountain Fork River after the vehicle was swept off the roadway.

Troopers located the truck that afternoon but could not locate Toon at that time.

On Thursday divers with the OHP were able to recover Toon’s body from the river.
