Officials make an arrest in Montgomery County missing person case after remains were located Saturday

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division in an ongoing missing person’s case.
Special Agents arrived on Saturday, June 7, 2025, and uncovered evidence suggesting foul play. A suspect was identified and taken into custody the same day. Human remains were later discovered near the suspect’s property in Mount Ida.
Currently, the suspect is being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center, facing charges of Second-Degree Battery, Kidnapping, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Additional charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
Law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help in locating a black 2011 GMC Terrain with Arkansas plate AEV 26R. Anyone with relevant information is urged to contact ASP Troop K at (501) 767-8550.
Authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
