A Boone County man arrested on Tuesdayand charged with three different sex- related crimes remaining custody in the Boone County Detention Center on Wednesday morning. According to booking information from the Boone County Sheriff's Office, Robert Dale Thomas, 57, of Harrison was arrested just after 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and charged with three different crimes. He was charged with one count each of Assault in the Second degree, the Crime of Video Voyeurism, and Distributing, Possessing, or Viewing Matter Depicting Sexual Conduct Involving Children. As of Wednesday morning, no details of the crime had been posted on Arkansas court Connect.. Given the nature of the crime, and the need for any and all paperwork to be redacted to protect the victims, it is not unusual for reports of this type to not be issued on the statewide information system until a few days after the arrest. In fact, no record seems to exist within the Arkansas information system of any crimes that Thomas may have committed in the state of Arkansas in the past 20 years. A charge of sexual assault in the second degree usually indicates that the victim was under the age of consent. The crime of video voyeurism aagainst a child can be applied to any situation where the victim is under the age of eighteen.
While the current address of Thomas has not been released, an online report indicates he has lived in Harrison, Mountain Home, Lead Hill, and Gassville in Arkansas. He also has associated addresses in Loveland, Colorado and Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
