Myklayn Lynne Day

A second man has been arrested in connection with the October 1, 2021 break-in of a residence on Backhaus Road in Logan County we told you about earlier in the month.

Myklayn Lynne Day, 35, was arrested on October 20, 2021 by the U.S. Marshals west of Yukon. After his arrest, Day was transported to the Canadian County Jail and is facing one count of Murder in the First Degree, one count of Burglary in the First Degree and one count of Burglary in the Second Degree.

At 2:30 a.m. on October 1, Logan County dispatch received a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner reporting that he had shot an intruder inside his home on Backhaus Road near Guthrie.

The homeowner heard multiple people breaking into the home, got his gun and fired in the direction of the intruders.

After firing shots, the homeowner called 9-1-1 and Logan County deputies responded to the scene. Upon arrival, deputies found 44-year-old Trini Louise Salazar inside the residence with gunshot wounds. Salazar died at the scene.

Jesse Eugene Bramlett, 45, was arrested on October 13, 2021 and is facing the same charges as Day. He remains in the Logan County Jail.
