Muldrow man with a lengthy criminal history lands seven years with SCCC plea deal

A 40-year-old Muldrow man who has been in the Sebastian County Detention Center since his arrest on May 19, 2022 on various firearms and drug-related charges was sentenced to seven years with an additional five-years suspended in court proceedings last week in Fort Smith..

According to booking information from the SCADC and court records from Sebastian County, Ian Lee Anderson, who has a history of felony convictions dating all the way back to 2003, was facing a myriad of charges stemming from that 2022 arrest before entering a guilty play as part of the plea deal arrangement on Wednesday of last week.

Anderson came into court charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain persons, possession of controlled substances with the purpose to deliver, possession of controlled substances, and as a habitual offender.

During his court session last Wednesday the state moved to not process the possessions of drugs and firearms simultaneously and amended the possession of firearms by certain persons to a 'D' felony.

Anderson was then giving the 7-year imposed sentence and was given jail time credit and all sentences were set to run concurrently.

Anderson also agreed to forfeit all seized property in the case.
