Thirty-year-old Justin Elijah Sharp was sentenced in Sebastian County Circuit Court last week to 25 years with and fifteen additional years suspended or the May 20, 2020 Rape of a Victim Under the Age of fourteen.
Sharp, who we first told you about on May 20, 2020 after he was arrested on the Class Y Felony that same day, was able t0o cut a plea deal with the Sebastian County Prosecutors Office that was approved by the family of the young victim.
In addition to his prison time, which should keep him incarcerated for at least a dozen years, Sharp will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release and play the mandatory $250 offender fee. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim or the victim's family in the future.
Because of the special circumstances involving the age of the victim, Sharp could have faced as much as 40 years in prison bef0ore he pursued then plea deal.
