


A 33-year-old Crawford County man with a lengthy and extensive criminal background remains behind bars in Franklin County after an arrest by law enforcement officials on Thursday following an accident and car chase and he discovery of drugs in his vehicle.
According to booking information from the Franklin County Detention Center, Mitchell Aaron Fletcher remain s jailed pending a bond hearing after a car chase ended in a Accident Involving Death or Personal Injury charge among the twenty-two misdemeanor and felony charges he now faces.
Fletcher was driving on a suspended license and had alleged meth/cocaine in the vehicle when officer attempted to make a traffic stop. Before the incident was finished, Mitchell had amassed fleeing by vehicle, speeding, leaving the scene of an accident, improper signal on stop or turn, driving left of center, reckless driving, careless or prohibited driving and failure to yield charges.
Once the vehicle was stopped, no proof of insurance, fictitious tags, and no vehicle tags were added to the growing list of charges. Resisting arrest, fleeing and terroristic threatening were added to the bundle once the vehicle was finally stopped and a search of the vehicle resulted in two separate charges of delivery of meth or cocaine.
In N0vember of 2017, Mitchell avoided prosecution after an arrest for resident burglary, theft of property and possession of firearms after a key witness in the case refused to testify. In fact, Fletcher has a history of cases being dropped or not prosecuted or light sentences for crimes dating back several years, and there have been a litany of charges .
In fact, there is very little in the way of sentencing information over the years despite a number of arrests for breaking and entering, theft of property, furnishing alcohol to a minor, residential burglary, theft by receiving, possession of a firearm by certain persons, and various other charges dating back to 2009.
Fletcher remains jailed in Franklin County on the current twenty-two charges awaiting aa bond hearing.
