A twenty-one year-old Mulberry man has died as the result of injuries suffered Saturday night in a fatal vehicle/motorcycle collision that occurred Saturday night on Midland Boulevard in Fort Smith.
According to information obtained from the Arkansas State Police and the Fort Smith Police Department, Allan Hickman was a passenger on a southbound 2007 Harley Davidson driven by 53-year-old Jese Lavielle of Houston. A 2002 Fort F150 was making a left-hand turn onto North Street when the mtotorcycle struck the passenger side of the truck.
Police say the driver of the truck then fled the scene. Both Hickman and Lavielle wete transported to a local hospital where Hickman succumbed to his inuries.
The incident is still under investigation by the Fort Smith Police Department.
